Praised for their “fresh and surprising interpretations,” Merz Trio has quickly emerged as a unique and award-winning ensemble, recently winning the 2019 Concert Artist’s Guild competition and garnering the First Prize at the 2019 Fischoff Competition, as well as the First Prize and Audience Prize at the 2018 Chesapeake Competition. The Trio is committed to passionate, original playing and thoughtfully curated programming, presenting a wide range of repertoire each season in both a traditional recital format and in a unique multidisciplinary concert experiences. Merz Trio includes the talent of Brigid Coleridge; violin, Lee Dionne; piano, and Julia Yang; cello.
